On May 23rd, Nathaniel and I will have been married for 10 years. I can hardly believe it myself. I feel so lucky and blessed that I have found the most amazing man and best friend. I know that Heavenly Father made him especially for me! Even the littlest things Nathaniel does, I know that he's just mine. I wanted to take a little time to share some of my favorite things about Nathaniel and let him know how much he means to me. (they are in no special order)
1. I know without a doubt, he loves me. It's in the way he looks, kisses and touches me.
2. He is a great provider. He worries about making sure that I am happy and taken care of. He works his butt off so that I have the things I need and want.
3. He is an amazing father. Not only did he have a great dad to learn from, but he also loves our boys. He makes sure that they are happy and that they are well taken care of. He takes the time to teach them things, like fishing, camping, homework, the gospel and to treat their mom with respect.
4. He is a worthy priesthood holder. I don't know what I would do without this one! He is even great if I freak out in the middle of the night, wake him up and demand a special prayer on the house because I heard some noise.
5. He is the most patient man with his wife that I know. I screwed up finances a couple weeks ago and he was really nice and patient with me. I knew he was upset and probably wanted to yell because he has always been a stickler about money and although he had to take a couple of deep breathes, he didn't make me feel any worse than I already felt.
6. He is my best friend. I have learned so much from him. He listens to me and comforts me. If we are having an arguement, he is still the person that I want to go to for comfort.
7. He understands the things that are important to me... even if he doesn't understand, he supports me. Like hair. Every women knows how important hair is and to have it maintained can be a pain and expensive, but Nathaniel understands that. He would rather me spend a little extra on a salon service than me be upset about something gone wrong. Before we were married, I had colored my hair dark brown and wanted to go more blonde for the wedding. Putting blonde on dark brown can ruin it. Some of my blonde hair was fried (like spaghetti). He helped me by putting my hair under the faucet and put a deep conditioner on it.
8. Even though he misses out on scary movies, he doesn't hold a grudge towards me. He never makes me feel uncomfortable about something I don't want to do.
9. Even through my many mistakes, he lets me learn from them. He doesn't try to take over my life because I did something wrong. He steps back and encourages me. Only when I'm needing help or can't handle a situation, does he try to help. He allows me to grow and learn.
10. He supports me as a wife and mother. He doesn't make decisions without talking to me first. He trusts me with making some of the decisions myself. He believes in me!
I am very much in love with Nathaniel and am thankful to have him apart of my life. Even if it took him a little longer to realize he loved me, I'm glad that he chose me as his eternal companion. I love you sweetie!
