Winter... and it ain't no wonderland up here

It's freaking cold outside and it won't stop snowing. I have at least 8 inches of snow on my lawn... or at least what was a lawn. The roads in my neighborhood are hardly scraped of snow... and guess what that leaves? ICE! So I'm learning how to turn and break in our little red Ford Escort. So if you see a little red flash pass you at a 4-way stop, it's us... because I forgot to stop sooner and pump the breaks. The boys have been having a blast with friends building forts and throwing snowballs. I always thought of snowboots as an accessory, but now see them as a necessity as my boys cross our snow covered yard to the bus stop. And get this... they wear the boots all day long. It's so wierd up here... wearing snowboots. So I've learned 3 new things in the past couple of weeks... 1.) Don't stand under icicles when you are knocking them down. They are solid ice and hurt like crap! 2.) High heels really aren't all that cute (and sexy) when you have to cross snow covered parking lots and 3.) when driving in snow... pump breaks AND... start breaking sooner than you normally would... because the husband doesn't think it's funny at all that you don't have control of the car!

Oh and Ethan got his Wolf. It was very exciting... Now I'm just hoping to get him some arrows before he turns 9.

Leo dressed to keep him warm.

Our tree... dressed in snow.

Ethan pinning me with my Wolf pin. I love being a mom! Just wish I got the badge too!
